Reconciliation for Non-Profits
WORKSHOPS: Reconciliation for Non-Profits
This workshop will focus on ideas and actions that staff and volunteers in nonprofit organizations can consider as we respond to the Calls to Action by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC). The TRC Calls to Action encourage us to look at our organizational policies and practices and make changes so that Indigenous People are truly welcomed, respected, and included. Our journey of reconciliation is going to be long and complex. There is no one “right path” and each of us needs to decide how to move forward.
This session will consider different perspectives of what reconciliation means, look at tangible actions, and explore how to make them possible—inviting attendees to decide on their next steps in the journey of reconciliation. This longer session will have more interactive elements and a deeper exploration of the topics presented in the Reconciliation for Non-Profits Webinar.
PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is limited to 35 participants. Registration is open to all staff and volunteers from community social service organizations of any size.
Workshop Structure
This workshop will take place in a single 6-hour virtual session with breaks throughout.
