National Volunteer Week Photo Contest – April 14-20

National Volunteer Week is a time to celebrate and thank Canada’s 24 million volunteers. The theme is Every Moment Matter and highlights the importance of every volunteer and each contribution they make at a moment when we need support more than ever.

Post your photos on social media to recognized and celebrate every volunteer and each contribution they’re making to strengthen inclusivity and wellbeing in our communities.


How to Enter

  • Find photo(s) that best showcases the spirit of volunteerism in BC!
  • Include a caption and add #CelebrateBCVolunteers and tag @volunteerbc in your post. 
  • Post on your social media platforms during National Volunteer Week (April 14th to 20nd)

  • Deadline to post photo(s): Monday, April 22.


  • A grand prize winner will be chosen at the end of the week and wins a $100 Amazon GC and a free registration to the Volunteer BC & BCACG Conference.
  • Everyone who submits at any point during the contest will be eligible for a prize.

Photo Guidelines

  • Photos must be taken in the 2023-2024 year. ⁣ Up to 5 photo entries are allowed per organization/person. ⁣
  • Photos of volunteers and community service organizations in BC only.
  • ⁣Caption/Story along with correct hashtag and tags must be provided.
  • Gain consent from everyone in the photo before posting. 
  • By submitting photos to the contest, you consent to your images being used in future Volunteer BC marketing. 
  • Disclaimer: Volunteer BC retains the right to reject any submission without notice that does not meet the outlined guidelines and criteria.
