Governance Salon: A chance to ask what you always wanted to know about governance and the BC Societies Act

November 29 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

You know you have to revise your constitution and bylaws to be compliant with the new BC Societies Act. When you opened up that conversation, all kinds of other questions emerged…“What’s the impact of the new legislation on how we operate as a board and as an organization?” “Should our senior manager be a Director and what does that actually mean?” “Should the members elect the Officers or should the members elect the directors and the directors elect the Officers?” “We have updated our bylaws and now need to look at policies”.
If you’re asking yourself these types of governance question – join us for this ‘Governance Salon’. We’ll have you send questions in advance, we’ll address the themes that emerge with ‘factual’ answers, and we’ll explore approaches that will help you make decisions that best suit the culture and capacity of your organization. Each participant can send in 2 questions.
